Day 2- 3 report

Couldn't post yesterday from wewoka - few charging options for  the phone.
Coalgate to Wewoka: lovely climbs through small mountains." A footnote to my series "everything I learned about life, I learned from training": when you train on hard hills a lot, and you come up against them for real, they are PURE JOY. I was flying, passing folks going up."

In the processes, I got separated from my new friends Kevin and did not see him for 24 hours. Now, I understand how Jesus's parents could lose him when they were going back from the temple.

Lewis on Indian flute (pic by someone else)
Wewoka was a cool town. I went to the Seminole Nation and had a wonderful tour given by Lewis, a Seminole Indian. He told our group of 8 fascinating history, including efforts at linguistic preservation, how they were Christianized, elements of their tradition that point the way to God. He played the Indian flute, and told us a great folk tale - 20 minutes of pure captivation. Made me want to be part of an oral culture.
